Support Systems Connect
Systems Connect is a peer community built and run on volunteer time. Funding lets us keep building, grow group facilitation, and pay the volunteers who make it possible.
What your support enables
Plain numbers, plain language. We’ll publish a public ledger as money starts flowing.
- Keeping the site running. Server, domain, SSL renewals, daily backups. Today this is small; it grows as the community does.
- Stipends for volunteer group facilitators. So someone can run a weekly yoga, art, peer-support, or just-talking session without burning out. The goal is enough money that volunteers can give us their full attention rather than fitting us in around a job.
- Better video. We use free public Jitsi today. As traffic grows, we’ll move to a paid tier (Daily.co or self-hosted Jitsi) for reliability and recording — both cost money.
- The peer-support training program. Curriculum, training videos, and the certification quiz that gates 1-on-1 peer support. This is on the roadmap; donations move it forward.
- Eventually, an attorney-drafted Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Our placeholders are honest about what they are; a real one is part of growing up.
No tip-a-peer feature: we don’t want money in the relationship between members and peers. Donations go to the project; the project pays facilitators where appropriate.
