Community Code of Conduct
Placeholder. The full Code will be drafted with community input before public launch. What follows is the working draft that guides us now.
Who we are for
Systems Connect is for people living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, partners, and allies. Eighteen and older. We are a peer community, not a clinical service.
What we expect of each other
- Be gentle. Assume the person you are reading had a harder day than their words show.
- Speak from your own experience. Do not diagnose, assess, prescribe, or tell someone else what their system is or is not. If you are trained as a clinician in your day job, your credential does not travel with you into this community. You are here as a peer.
- Honor chosen names. Use the name a member has asked to be called. Do not ask for their legal name.
- Use trigger warnings. When a post could catch someone off guard, tag it so they can choose whether to read.
- Do not recruit members for clinical work, studies, or paid services without staff approval.
- Protect what is shared here. Do not screenshot, repost, or share member content outside Systems Connect without explicit permission from the author.
- Disagree well. Different systems experience themselves differently. Integration is one valid path. Staying plural is another. Both are welcome here, and so are members who are still figuring out which is theirs.
- No harassment, no hate, no doxxing, ever. These are grounds for immediate removal.
If something goes wrong
Report it. Community volunteers who help keep the space safe will review. You can also reach us directly at scottbeach137@gmail.com.
